share save 171 16 New York Giants are Up and Down

It’s been a bumpy season for the NY football Giants, but in the midst of key player injuries, an ironic black out at their home turf and an embarrassing slide during week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles by Manning, the men in blue seem to be keeping it together.

Prior to their bye-week break the G-Men had a 5-2 record only to come back into week 8 with a win against the Carolina Panthers. Just before their beak, let’s not forget how the Giants destroyed Cowboy’s quarterback, Tony Romo,Manning Sacked Yet Again Against The Cowboys 300x196 New York Giants are Up and Down sending him out for pretty much the rest of the season with a broken clavicle. That divisional game against the Cowboys was intense and made it seem like Big Blue were making a bold statement with their tough-as-nails O-line saying, “watch out!”

However, it was only three weeks later that the division rivals faced each other once again, this time without Romo, at the New Meadowlands Stadium. Going into the game, the Giants were the favorites, and most fans saw the game as an easy win partly attributed to thoughts that Kitna would be no match for the Giant’s O-line. Well, let’s just say the Cowboys showed the Giants that they could prevail through anything. The Dallas Cowboys shut the lights out for the Giants while simultaneously the lights at the New Meadowland’s Stadium literally went out that night. Were the lights going out a foretelling of the future for the Giant’s 2010 season?

Omen or not, the Giants ended week 11 with a huge upset to division competitor, the Philadelphia Eagles. This is the game were Eli slid, much like Jeter would into home plate (oops)! It’s been two games since the famous slide and fumble by Eli and the Giants have won against the Jaguars and Redskins.
It might have been a rocky November, but considering the abundance of key player injuries, the Giants seem to be handling it well. The fans on the other hand are left with Sunday agita and heart palpitations as soon as the G-men suit-up! It sure makes for an exciting Sunday, but man, the intense anticipation could kill a fan!

Giants New Distraction...Losing 300x179 New York Giants are Up and DownThe Giants have just four games left, two of which are divisional games, so make sure you’ve got Giants tickets to the last few or at least a front row seat and control of the remote at home! In the mean time, the veterans are keeping the team strong and there is a lot of hope for a successful season, from now until the end of January. Deon Grant says, “In the NFL, you have key guys get hurt every day, every game. That’s not to stop anything.”

Go Giants!
