5. Newsies
A Tony Award nominee for Best Musical, Newsies is a Disney Broadway adaptation of the 1992 film by the same name. Newsies tells the story of the 1899 Newsboy Strike and the fight of “newsie” Jack Kelly and his band of friends against major newspapers for the rights of newsboys. With a Tony Award winning musical score composed by Disney’s Alan Menken and Jack Feldman, Newsies is a Broadway hit for the whole family.
4. Evita
Starring Ricky Martin, Elena Roger and Tony veteran Michael Cerveris, the rock opera Evita is enjoying its first unique revival in over 30 years. This brilliant reimagining has earned itself a Tony nomination for Best Rival. With music by composing legends Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Evita took Broadway by storm when it first opened in 1976. Evita is based on the story of beloved Argentinean First Lady Eva Perón, a champion of labor rights, the poor and women’s suffrage in Argentina, and her rise from poverty into the position of Argentina’s most loved lady.

Dive into the flashy, 1920s razzmatazz of the musical comedy Nice Work If You Can Get It. Nice Work reinvents George Gershwin’s Oh, Kay!, featuring Tony Award winning performances by Michael McGrath and Judy Kaye.
