I don’t think I’m alone in asking what is there to do on Sundays now with the NFL season over and done with until September. Believe it or not, there are still countless events going on throughout the country that will keep us entertained until the shoulder pads clash again.
There is no hotter ticket in the sports world today than that of the New York Knicks. Jeremy Lin has sparked this team, the city of New York, and even the country with his incredible career starting playing ability.
What many are calling “Linsanity,” is not only bringing in 6 straight wins for the Knicks and filling both home and away arenas with fans because of his presence, but even the company that owns the Knicks’ stock price is at an all-time high! That’s right; a single player is creating a shift in the stock market from his averages of 27 points and almost 9 assists per game over the last five games. (The first 5 starts of his NBA career)
He is a phenomenon, not only because of his outstanding basketball skills, but the story behind him is great as well. He is the first American-born player of Taiwanese or Chinese decent to play in the NBA. He’s no dummy coming out of Harvard, however, undrafted. He went on to get cut by both the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets before getting his chance, due to team injuries, to play.
It will be very interesting to see in the coming days how Jeremy Lin will continue to affect the game with the return of superstars Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony.
Will you be part of the “Linsanity” as the New York Knicks have a 5 game home stand starting tonight?
Who wouldn’t want to be a part of this after his final second shot against Toronto last night to “Lin” the game?
