The top selling female artist of all time, Madonna, is back on the rise with her new MDNA tour of 2012. MDMA is drawing the insane crowds, sold-out venues, and the regular controversy that her career has been founded on since the beginning, of course. From nip slips, to thongs, Madonna, the Queen of Pop, is putting on unforgettable shows that no fan can afford to miss.

There is no doubt that Madonna keeps tabloid writers busy. At her recent concert in Istanbul, she flashed her right breast and nipple during the performance of “Human Nature”. The crowds went crazy and the tabloids followed with outrageous opinions. With older mothers and women commenting on whether or not it was “age appropriate”, Madonna made no comment regarding the performance. At 53, Madonna still flaunts it in a variety of wardrobe changes throughout the song sets. Tabloids and talkers won’t be holding her back from empowering other women, regardless of age. Her MDMA tour is still on track to be one of the largest grossing tours of her career.

It’s not just the nip slips, either. Madonna mooned fans at a recent date of the MDMA tour as well. Not afraid to show her black thong to the audience, she had zero reservations and continues to push the envelope regardless of her age. Critics continue to comment on whether or not she is a good mom for such behavior, while fans appreciate her femininity and edgy attitude. Who wouldn’t want to purchase concert tickets to see the MDMA tour?

With a plethora of rumors continually spread about Madonna, it’s hard to decipher what is real from fake. Does she really have 30 bodyguards and 20 vegan chefs? We may never know. It was confirmed via MTV that she does have a sterilization crew with her on the MDMA tour. For safety and privacy reasons, it has been reported that a sterilization crew attempts to eliminate all traces of Madonna’s DNA by scrubbing down her dressing room before anyone is allowed in. All traces of hair, or any sort of DNA, are removed before anyone may be allowed to enter. They follow her from venue to venue, ensuring nothing is left behind.

With outrageous nip slips, sterilization teams, and the projected ranking of the MDMA tour, Madonna’s tours are going to be show-stoppers for audiences around the world. Madonna is still pushing the boundaries inviting people into her world to experience empowerment, art, and music all on stage. It is no secret to die-hard fans that her shows are epic and worth the ticket price. It can be hard buying tickets to Madonna shows as they typically sell out in record time.

With the stories and press circulating around the 2012 tour, Madonna is sure not to let fans and critics down. She will continue to keep the tabloids busy with the outrageous behavior on stage and off stage, no matter what city she travels in. Buy tickets to Madonna‘s upcoming concerts as to not miss one of the most exciting concert series to come to your city.

The British-Irish boy band “One Direction” exploded on the music scene just two years ago, but have already embarked on their first North American tour, performing at sold-out shows across the country. Buying tickets to see the group has been top order for their legion of fans, and online tickets sales show One Direction in the top tier of concert popularity.

In 2010, when the band was assembled by luminary producer Simon Cowell for the singing competition show “The X Factor,” it became apparent that One Direction was a force to be reckoned with. They were at the top of the charts the instant their debut album, “Up All Night” was released, and have had a string of hits that would be the envy of any musician.

The “Up All Night” Tour performance comprises the songs on their album, as well as several covers made popular during the bands time on The X Factor. Fans have adored the boys take on Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody,” as well as their unique take on Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn.” The set has also included the Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” and Gym Class Heroes’ “Stereo Hearts,” all of which have been successful at whipping concert crowds into a complete frenzy.

The impeccable harmonies combined with numerous costume changes and flashing video images make the show memorable, but it is the personal touches that make the One Direction concerts an event of a lifetime. Audiences have raved about the bliss of seeing Niall play acoustic guitar as the boys sing around a mock campfire, or watching Liam toss out a memento to an adoring fan mid-performance.

While watching videos of the band bantering at a ski-lodge or on the beach has been popular with the crowds, the intimacy of having Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry or Louis respond to tweets from fans in the audience has been an unparalleled treat. Seeing Niall do an Irish jig is quickly becoming a fan favorite, as is asking the band burning questions that every fan longs to have answered.

The band is already planning another tour for 2013, and it is clear that although these young men are relatively new to the music scene, the one direction they are headed is up!

bieber “Believe” in the Biebs; See the Pop Star on Tour this Fall! You need no introduction. Girls absolutely love him. Guys want to be him (or hate him for stealing their girlfriend’s attention). He started out as nothing more than a boy from Canada, performing covers of some of the world’s most popular songs. Justin Bieber introduced Carly Rae Jepsen to the pop world when he signed her to his record label, Schoolboy Records. Since then, the talented singer (also from Canada) released what arguably is the official anthem of the summer. The hype has been plentiful and the players have given hockey fans all over the world the action they so eagerly anticipated. An intense round one saw the Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues, Phoenix Coyotes, Nashville Predators, New York Rangers, Washington Capitals, New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers all advance to the second round. Who will win it all?

Stanley Cup 2012 Round Two Matchups

With the first round out of the way, the second round matchups are as follows:

Western Conference

Los Angeles Kings vs. St. Louis Blues

The Kings have progressed after knocking out last year’s runner-up, the Vancouver Canucks. Kings forward, Dustin Brown’s 5 points in the series (4 goals, 1 assist) along with Jonathan Quick’s vital saves proved too much for the Canucks. The Kings went on to comfortably win the series 4-1.

The St. Louis Blues have never won a Stanley Cup, but they’re proving that this could finally be their year. After an impressive 4-1 series win against the San Jose Sharks, the blues quickly find themselves behind in this series after losing their first game. The Blues will need an offensive performance from Patrik Berglund (3 goals, 4 assists in the first series) if they want to get their Stanley Cup ambitions back on track.

  • Current Series: 2-0 Kings

Nashville Predators vs. Phoenix Coyotes

The Predators also had an impressive series with the Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings have won the most Stanley Cups (out of the teams based in the states) in the NHL’s history and have made it to the post-season every year since the 2004-2005 NHL lockout.  But the Red Wings’ colorful history proved to mean nothing in their series against Nashville. Led by Gabriel Bourque’s 3 series goals and Alexander Radulov’s 4 assists, the Predators took it to the Red Wings in a 4-1 series win.

The Coyotes advanced after an impressive series by goalie Mike Smith. The battle was tight as the first 5 games of the series went to overtime, but it was a solid defensive display by Smith that gave the Coyotes the chance to win the series. Coupled with a great offensive effort from Mikkel Boedker (2 goals, 2 assists), the Coyotes were able to knock out the Hawks in a 4-2 series victory.

  • Current Series: 2-0 Coyotes

Eastern Conference

New York Rangers vs. Washington Capitals

The New York Rangers entered the second round after a rather uncomfortable series win against the Ottawa Senators. The Senators pushed the ‘Blue Shirts’ to a vital game 7, but the fans at Madison Square Garden saw their team go through. The Rangers, coined by Bleacher Report as ‘the most complete team left in the playoffs’, were led by goalie Henrik Lundqvist (a.k.a. King Henry). His defensive effort was enough to see off an in-form Jason Spezza (3 goals, 2 assists) and the Senators from Ottawa in a 4-3 series win.

The Washington Capitals, arguably one of the best offensive teams in the Eastern Conference, also needed a game 7 to advance. The Capitals knocked off last year’s Stanley Cup champions, the Boston Bruins. With key saves from net-minder Braden Holtby and the always dangerous captain Alexander Ovechkin working his magic, the Caps were able to drop the old champions in a 4-3 series win.

  • Current Series: 1-1 Tied

New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers

The New Jersey Devils surprised the #3 seed Florida Panthers to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Veteran goalie Martin Brodeur received a handful of support from an offense led by a red-hot Travis Zajac (3 goals, 3 assists). The Panthers came back from a 2-0 deficit in game 7 to tie the game at 2, but the Devils proved too strong as they booked their trip to the second round with a 4-3 series win.

The Philadelphia Flyers surprised many when they defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in round one.  The story for the Flyers has undoubtedly been headlined by Claude Giroux’s (6 goals, 8 assists) massive scoring contribution. The Flyers found plenty of goals against a Penguins team led by the 2011-2012 NHL points leader, Evgeni Malkin (109 points in season) and their captain Sidney Crosby (3 goals, 5 assists). After a highly offensive series, the Flyers were able to clip the Penguins in a rather comfortable 4-2 series win.

  • Current Series: 1-0 Flyers

Watch the 2012 NFL Draft!

If you’re any type of sports fan or even if you just like being part of the camaraderie, this is surely an exciting time! Let’s see here: first round of the NHL playoffs, beginning of baseball season and even soccer fans are glued to the TV while the Champions League final gets closer. What else do sports fans have to look forward to?

Today marks the start to the NFL’s “regular season appetizer,” as one writer appropriately names it. The 2012 NFL Draft Pick will run from today, April 26 (round 1) until Saturday, April 28 and can be watched live on the NFL network.

As you can imagine, rumors via social media and more traditional media outlets have already leaked, giving way to possible trades and picks. Because the draft works in reverse order based on a team’s previous season record, order of picks can really hurt or help a team.

[Thanks, Bert Bell!]
Going back in time…

The first NFL Draft started in 1936 after various incidents with (what we now call “free agents”) surfaced. Another precursor to the NFL Draft was the lack of competitiveness between teams. Prior to the draft, some teams experienced lower ticket sales because their regular season was not as entertaining as some of the other NFL teams. The draft helps to even out the competition, giving teams with lower season rankings, some of the first picks in the draft.

What rumors are you hoping are true…or NOT true?

Are You Ready for the Carnival?

edc 270x195 custom Are You Ready for the Carnival? There’s a carnival, unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, making a stop at MetLife Stadium (New Jersey). Electronic dance music (EDM) fans all over the world are eagerly anticipating the first day of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), a unique 3-day dance festival taking place on May 18, 19 and 20.

The event’s popularity is already known by a rapidly growing EDM audience – an audience made popular in the United States largely in part to household DJs such as David Guetta, Tiesto and Kaskade. In the past, EDC has been held in California and Las Vegas. But this year, east coasters were ecstatic to hear that the carnival was coming to New York (although the actual event is in New Jersey). Last year’s event in Las Vegas saw over 200,000 ravers in attendance during a 3-day span. With Insomniac Events, the show’s producers, anticipating this year’s numbers to rise, it made sense to add another show on the east.

With EDC New York selling out before the lineup was even announced, the demand for EDC tickets is abnormally high. To give the fans ‘what they want’, the event’s creators added more space, more tickets and a third day to the original 2-day EDC NY schedule. If you haven’t gotten the picture yet, EDC is kind of a big deal. But why is there so much hype?

An electric carnival

EDC is different than your standard dance festival. You still have a lineup of the world’s best DJs on stage, but EDC distinguishes itself by mixing a carnival theme with the electronic music the attendees love. Not only do fans of the music dress up in costume, but the ‘circus’ includes components that you would find at an actual carnival. From swings to Ferris Wheels, the carnival surely enhances the experience. Combined with loud dance music, incredible light shows and a throng of energy, EDC is an event you will NEVER forget.

EDC will also be taking place in Las Vegas in June! Take a look at the EDC NY promo video below and get your Electronic Daisy Carnival tickets now!

Despite Madonna having a rough few days, the music icon is still proving why the world shouldn’t be so quick to forget about her.

madonna 145x145 custom Madonna’s Still Got ItMadonna has been under heavy fire from fans of the electronic dance music (EDM) genre. If you haven’t heard, Madonna made an on-stage appearance at Ultra Music Festival two weekends ago to introduce headlining DJ, Avicii. As the young crowd screamed and applauded her presence, Madonna made a comment that referenced a drug that’s said to be very popular at EDM festivals. The comment was immediately met with backlash from top DJs such as Deadmau5, but MDNA (Madonna’s new alias to promote her latest album) didn’t let that get her down.

Billboard recently announced that the queen of pop’s new album, MDNA, has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200. That gives Madonna five consecutive albums at #1, as her latest album sold over 359,000 copies. The feat put her above Lionel Richie’s 199,000 copies sold for his album Tuskegee. Both Madge and Richie have already praised each other’s successes as the two ‘high-fived’ via Twitter.

Madonna’s MDNA album expresses the diva’s feelings of pain and love – undoubtedly in reference to her difficult divorce from Guy Ritchie. Madonna has always made records that embraced the pop/dance genre and her new album isn’t any different.  The album’s approval is largely evident in the quick Billboard success Madonna has received. At a time when the Billboards were dominated by artists that appealed to a younger generation – evident by recent albums on the list by artists such as Katy Perry, One Direction and The Hunger Games Soundtrack – Madonna is showing that she’s still got it, and that message will never be forgotten by her fans.

Madonna is getting set for her world tour beginning in late May, but you can catch Madge stateside when she returns in late August. Madonna tickets will go fast, so make sure you get seats as she comes to a town near you!
